Last Saturday I decided to search whether or not a moisturizer that I saw in a japanese store was good. Why? I’m going to Portugal next week and here in New Zealand it’s easier to have access to these kind of products. If the moisturizer was good it’d be better to buy it here than buy in a website and pay shipping. I started doing the research and all new world ahead of me! When this happens I’m finding the best methods, the best things, open tab, close tab, open tab…I’m in the zone.
I like discovering new things! It’s an amazing rush.
What did I find? The world of asian skincare. There are a huge amount of steps to follow so your skin is perfect, you’ve to be careful with phs, etc.Honestly I’m not the best person to explain this…I recommend taking a look to this subreddit (AsianBeauty), there’s a huge amount of information and there’s a beginner section as well.
I admit that I’m totally ignorant about this subject, I do my makeup once a year, I discovered that T zone exists a couple of months ago and until now I always used soap to wash my face.
After absorbing all this information, I was excited to go out to adventure! My wallet went too!
Based on recommendations that I saw in the subreddit and in a couple of websites, I bought the following:
– Rosette Cleansing Paste
– Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence Sunscreen
– Hada Labo Super Gokujyun Hyaluronic Acid Lotion
– Kose Cosmeport Softymo Speedy Cleansing Oil
– Hada Labo Foaming Cleanser
I never spent so much money in my life for skincare (about 60€), however it’s a good time to start worrying about skincare. I’ll be 25 this year and starting these habits early it’s pretty important. It’s still too early to understand if I like the products, some of them I haven’t even used (the skincare gurus don’t recommend to start multiple products at once). I believe in 6 months I’ll be able to understand what works for me. I’ll write a post then. Until then, if you don’t know this world yet, have fun discovering!
